$15 at the door.

Some of Lexington’s best-known artists were invited to create work in their preferred medium inspired by To Kill a Mockingbird. The featured artists such as Guy Mendes, Arturo Sandoval, John Lackey, Fielden Williams, Bianca Spriggs, Diane Kahlo, and Nana Lampton.

In addition, Joe Ferrell will direct Roger Leasor and Sherry Jackson Thompson in a few short vignettes, drawn from scenes in the book.

Rona Robert’s crackling cornbread, Stella’s fried green tomatoes, and Indy’s fried chicken wings. All local food and all mentioned in the book.

Sweet tea on the porch (imagining it was June instead of November) and the adults may indulge in the Carnegie’s signature cocktail of the evening, aptly named the Mockingbird, but only if you sing.
