Labor Day holiday collections, closings

Trash Pickup Schedule:

Residents whose regular collection day is on Monday, Sept. 3, will receive collection service on Wednesday, Sept. 5. 

Residents who receive Monday pick-up should place their Herbies, Rosies and Lennies out after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, to assure collection the next day.

Businesses that have city waste management services for their dumpsters and normally have pickups on Mondays will have their units picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Businesses that normally have Tuesday pick ups will have their units picked up on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3. The city’s recycling facility, electronic recycling center, and the Haley Pike waste management facility will also be closed.

Kentucky’s courts are closed Monday for Holiday and Tuesday for budget furlough.
