Filmslang: Some Beasts, Farish Theater

Some Beasts (2015) will regionally premiere at Filmslang Film Festival on Saturday, October 10 at noon in Farish Theater.

“Working in an insular farming community in Appalachia, Sal Damon, a modern- day Thoreau, seeks solace from a past relationship. After a sudden death in the community and the discovery of a feral child living on the lam, Sal must reconcile his place in a world that lives outside of the law. SOME BEASTS is the debut feature of Dallas writer/director Cameron Bruce Nelson, and stars Frank Mosley (UPSTREAM COLOR), Lindsay Burdge (A TEACHER), and Heather Kafka (PIT STOP). Previous Screenings: Dallas International Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival.”

Filmslang is sponsored by the Lexington Public Library and Lexington Film League. All films will be shown in the Farish Theater of the Central Library at 140 E. Main Street. Filmslang Film will feature four regional premieres, a 20th anniversary screening of a local film followed by a Q&A with director Robby Henson, and a slate of local short films.filmslang
