As You Wish: Princess Bride Experience, Louisville Fest Stages Film

The Alley Theater will host the First Annual Princess Bride Experience, a festival honoring the cult-classic film.

Actors from The Alley Theater will perform a staged reading of the film at 4 p.m. They will also hold a fencing reenactment of the movie’s famous sword-fighting scene.
All proceeds benefit the theater, a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization.
“The Alley has wanted to do something with The Princess Bride for three years,” says Ray Robinson, Festival Coordinator. “We’ve been stewing on it all this time, trying to come up with an event that combines our love of the movie with the interactive experience The Alley Theater is known for providing. I believe we’ve put together a wonderful, family-friendly event – a worthy 25th anniversary celebration of the film!”
