‘Scrimmage’ on the second floor of the Ann Tower Galley.  Kevin Gardner’s recent body of work focuses on the iconography and idolatry of American football. Gardner is interested in the connection between the gestures and images of American football and Roman relief sculpture. These paintings are an outsider’s take on an insider’s game.
