The second annual Derby Hats & Gloves Gala, benefiting Dress for Success Lexington, is presented by the National Association of Professional Women’s Lexington Chapter on May 1 from 6 – 9 pm at The Club in Spindletop Hall. Wear your best Derby attire and join an evening of networking in NAPW, Dress for Success Lexington, and other special guests. The local chapter will be accepting donations of professional clothing and accessories at the event. Donations also accepted through Eventbrite.

Bradley Picklesimer’s 1st Annual Derby Eve Party is at the Bar Complex at 9 pm. Music by Chi Chi LaRue, cakes by Lilyfield Cakes, and gift bags by Hustler Hollywood. Derby attire and costumes suggested.

Derby Eve Lexington, Central Kentucky’s newest Kentucky Derby Eve Party, is hosting an inaugural event on May 1 at 7:30 pm at Saxony Farm. Proceeds benefit Woodford Humane Society, Horses and Hope, Horse Aid Live, Race for Education, and The Calipari Foundation. There will be gourmet cuisine, tastings, a bourbon & cigar bar, and dance music played live by a band straight out of LA. There will also be art displays, psychics, palm readers, fortune telling, and celebrity sittings. Tickets available at DerbyEveLex.com.

The Oaks Day Celebration is at Keeneland from 9 am – 7 pm. It’s a party to suit anyone’s style, whether you’re going for a casual picnic or a hip cocktail party in the clubhuose.

The Oaks Day Festival is at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort from 9 am – 4:30 pm. There will be complimentary tours and tastings all day, festive Bluegrass music live, and bourbon ball ice cream.

The Night Before Derby is at the Signature Club of Lansdowne from 7 pm – midnight. There will be a dinner, cocktails, live and silent auctions, music, dancing, and more. Proceeds go to Stem of Life. Dress formally.

May 2

Derby Day at Keeneland starts at 9 am and goes until 7 pm. It’s a party to suit everyone’s style, whether it be a casual picnic in the paddock or a hip cocktail party in the clubhouse.

Derby Breakfast at Waveland State Historic Site at 10 am. Includes breakfast served on fine china by period-dressed interpreters.

St. Mark Stakes: Derby in Style at St. Mark Church in Richmond. Kentucky inspired food and cocktails, a bourbon bar, and entertainment featured all night. Large screen live feed of the Derby begins at 5 pm. Raffles, cash drawings, music, and live auction begin after the race.

Derby Weekend at Soundbar features Mint Julep specials, and a Saturday night with DJ Crow. If you want to watch the race at Soundbar, there are Happy Hour specials until 8 pm.
