WEDNESDAY July 2, 2014

Summer Classic Movies: Once Upon A Time In The West will be playing at the Kentucky Theatre on Wednesday, July 2 at 1:30 and 7:15.

Summerfest presents Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at the Moondance Amphitheater. Gate Opens @ 6:45 pm and the show begins @ 8:00 pm.

Al’s Bar presents Electra Glide in Blue as part of its Cult Film Series at 8 pm.

THURSDAY July 3, 2014

The Annual Free Patriotic Concert is at 8 pm Thursday, July 3, on the lawn of the Old Morrison building at Transylvania University (part of Lexington’s July 4 festival, 2014).

TNL: The Tim Talbert Project plays at Cheapside Park at 5 pm.

The Lexington Legends will play Greensboro at 7:05 pm at the ballpark.

FRIDAY July 4, 2014

The day of festivities begins with a good workout, the Bluegrass 10,000 Run at 7:30 am.

Lexington’s food truck crew will gather at Main & Vine for Food Truck Friday from 11 am until 2 pm.

After you win the 10 K, consider stopping by the Lexington downtown street festival, featuring arts and crafts, food and beverages, and commercial vendors, from 9 am to 6 pm. The Lexington Parade lines up on Midland Avenue and begins at 2 pm.

If you need a break from the downtown area before the fireworks begin, you can check out the NoLi Night Market at 700 Bryan Ave. from 7 to 10 pm.

Finish the national holiday with the classic fireworks display at 10 pm downtown.

SATURDAY July 5, 2014

The Red, White and Boom! concert will be held Saturday and Sunday July 5 and July 6 at Legends ballpark. As of press, concert organizers reported the show has sold out.

Kentucky native Stewart Huff will be performing at Comedy Off Broadway at 7:15 and 9:45 pm.

Celebrate local business and Independence day with some local brews at West Sixth Brewing’s Sixth for a Cause: Local First!

Lexington Lexington will be throwing its Summertoberfest party at Al’s Bar beginning at 7 pm.

SUNDAY July 6, 2014

Katie’s Habit is playing Tunes In The Vines at Equus Run Vineyard beginning at 2 pm.

The Lyric Summer Film Series will present Shaft’s Big Score at 3 pm, Lyric Theater.

New Edition will be performing at Louisville’s KFC Yum Center at 7 pm.

MONDAY July 7, 2014

The Lexington Junior League Horse Show begins at 6:30 pm and runs through the 12th of July.

Grammy-winning Lee Ann Womack will be performing at Woodsongs at 6:45 pm.

TUESDAY July 8, 2014

Joey & The Cruisers will be playing at the Big Band & Jazz show at Lexington’s Ecton Park at 7 pm.

Michael Cleveland will perform during the Southland Jamboree at 7 pm.

WEDNESDAY July 9, 2014

Summer Classic Movies: Mary Poppins will be playing at the Kentucky Theatre on Wednesday, July 9 at 1:30 and 7:15.

Wilderness Trail will preform at Red Barn Radio’s July 9th recording session at Lexington’s ArtsPlace.
