What’s Open and What’s Closed, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in Lexington

Lexington Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, New Year’s Day.

The Lexington Recycling Center, the city’s Electronic Recycling Center and the Haley Pike Waste Management facility will all be closed on New Year’s Day. 

There will be no trash collection on New Year’s Day, 2013. Lexington businesses and residents who usually have Tuesday pickup will have Wednesday pickup.

LexTran routes 1-13 will operate on a regularly published Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2013.

Three Lexington Walgreens will remain open on their usual open 24-hour schedule on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (the one at the corner of Richmond Rd. and St. Ann, the one on Harrodsburg Road, and the Hamburg location.)

CD Central at 377 S. Limestone will be open Noon to 5 pm on New Year’s Day and serving Magic Beans coffee samples.

Good Foods on Southland Drive will be open 8 am to 9 pm on New Year’s Eve 2012, and 10 am to 10 pm on New Year’s Day (no hot buffet on New Year’s Day 2013).

Kroger on Euclid will close at 9 pm on New Year’s Eve and will re-open on New Year’s Day at 8 am.

Trader Joe’s on Nicholasville Rd.will be open 8 am to 6 pm on New Year’s Eve, and will be closed on New Year’s Day 2013.

Whole Foods in Lexington Green will be open 8 am to 8 pm on New Year’s Eve 2012 and 10 am to 6 pm on New Year’s Day 2013.
