The Great American Pie Contest and Ice Cream Social is one of the first events of this year’s 4th of July Festival in downtown Lexington. It will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 2, in the Fifth Third Bank Pavilion at Cheapside Park. You can enter pies in two categories:  “Made from Scratch” and “Semi-Homemade.”  There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes given in each category.  In addition, an award will be given for the “Prettiest Pie.”
