Film: Reel Rock Film Festival, Kentucky Theatre
The seventh annual Reel Rock Film Tour brings the best in climbing and adventure films to local audiences across the globe.
Sunday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Theater. The event is a benefit for the Red River Gorge Climbers’ Coalition.
Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

FILM: ideaFestival presents Wonder: The Lives of Anna & Harlan Hubbard, KY Theatre
IdeaFestival University hosts film screening of “Wonder: The Lives of Anna and Harlan Hubbard” at Lexington’s State Theater on January 28, 2013
The Lexington premiere of “Wonder: The Lives of Anna and Harlan Hubbard” a documentary film about the lives of two Kentuckians.
The film produced by Louisville filmmaker Morgan Atkinson is narrated by Kentucky author Wendell Berry.
The film will be screened Monday, January 28, at 7:00 p.m. at the State Theater, inside the Kentucky Theater, 214 East Main Street in Lexington. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
The film will be followed by an informal discussion with the filmmaker Morgan Atkinson, Bill Caddell and Meg Shaw and will be moderated by Lexington Herald-Leader columnist Tom Eblen.
“What Henry David Thoreau did for two years on Walden Pond the Hubbard’s did for forty years in Kentucky,” explains the filmmaker Atkinson. “I hope the film will inspire people to be open to adventure in their own lives, whatever that may be.”
