Fundraiser: Making Memories, Grand Reserve
Annual fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association’s Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, including the 24-hour Helpline, MedicAlert/Safe Return Program, family support groups, respite for caregivers and research. Awards will be given, including Family Caregiver of the Year, Professional Caregiver of the Year, Media Partner of the Year, Corporate Partner of the Year, and Annual Giving Award.
The event includes dinner, a silent and live auction, bourbon tasting, dancing and live entertainment. Tickets are $85 per person, or $1,000 for a corporate table. Cocktail attire. For reservations or more information, contact Amber Lakin at 859-266-5283

Earth Month Fashion Show, Parlay Social
Alure Salon is hosting a fashion show on April 23rd benefitting Kentucky Waterways Alliance (KWA).
KWA’s efforts clean rivers and watersheds throughout Kentucky. All proceeds from ticket sales to silent auction items up for bid at the event will be given to KWA.

Lexington AIDS Walk, downtown
The 2013 Lexington AIDS Walk is April 7.
Check-in/Registration at 2PM. Walk at 3PM. Meet at Third Street Stuff.
Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams who raise the most money for the Lexington AIDS Walk.
T-shirts will be available on a first come-first serve basis the day of the event for walkers who have riased a minimum $25 sponsorship.

UK Dance Blue Dance Marathon
DanceBlue is a student-run philanthropy at the University of Kentucky. It is a year-long fundraising effort involving thousands of UK students, which culminates in a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon on UK’s campus. All of the money raised by DanceBlue goes to the Golden Matrix Fund. DanceBlue has been active for over seven years, raising more than 3 million dollars for the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Clinic and Markey Cancer Center.
Kentucky-based country, rock and R&B band 64West (ww.sixtyfourwest.com) will perform.

Walk for Warmth, Triangle Park
Saturday, February 16th, 2013 the Walk for Warmth will be held at Lexington, Kentucky’s Triangle Park at 10 am.
Help prevent homelessness by raising funds for financial assistance for families facing eviction or utility shut-off. Then join in for a one or two-mile walk downtown to raise awareness about homelessness in Lexington.

H’artful of Fun 2013: Bollywood Bash, Kentucky Horse Park

The 2013 H’artful of Fun Bollywood-themed event will showcase
live performances by dancers and musicians of the Mecca Live Studio and Gallery.
Bollywood Bash will be a colorful homage to the contemporary music and dance of India, benefiting the Living Arts and Science Center.
2013 H’Artful of Fun will be held at a new venue – the Alltech Arena in the Kentucky Horse Park.
Savory dishes by Season’s Catering, Louisiana Passion, and the Hilary J. Boone Center as well as desserts by Martine’s, Tinker’s Cakes, and Catering by Donna Potter.
Local spirits will be on hand with tastings by Four Roses Bourbon, Pearse Lyons Reserve, Town Branch Bourbon, Kentucky Ale, West Sixth Brewing, Wine Select of Kentucky, Louisville’s Old 502 Winery, and Pure Blue Vodka.
