Founders’ Day Celebration Events Lexington Kentucky Summer 2013
The Founders’ Day Celebration is a family event that commemorates Lexington’s history with pioneers reenacting the 1775 era, historic music, exhibits, and Native American programs. Feel welcome to bring your own picnic, but food will be sold on site.

Lexington’s First Annual Crawfish Festival will be May 11th at The Red Mile.
A crawfish boil will include 1,500 pounds of live crawfish and there will be Jambalaya, Chicken Étouffée, Chicken Sauce Piquant and Black Beans & Corn along with Fried Catfish and Alligator Tails and more!
Live music from The Tall Boys, Keith Hubbard Band and Rebel Without a Cause.
The Bar will include a selection on Louisiana Specialty Beers and Hurricanes along with Kentucky favorites!

Musical Theatre: Natasha’s on Esplanade will feature two seatings for a meal and a song for Mother’s Day, Brunch and Dinner. May 12, 2013. The young artists of today and tomorrow present a Hollywood Cabaret of big screen songs honoring mothers featuring Lexington singers and performers. Cover charges benefit charity. Call ahead for seating/pricing.

Join the LASC and special guest educators from LFUCG’s Division of Environmental Quality and Bluegrass PRIDE for an informative and fun hands-on night of EcoH2O activities! Explore water quality and conservation topics through a variety of activities and demonstrations. Learn about watersheds and how the movement of water effects water quality. Put on a costume and be a player in our storm drain drama, learn about point and non-point pollution at the enviroscape table, classify macro invertebrates and lean about how water quality effects all aquatic life, make a fabulous fish print, go “fishing” for pollution to identify types, and more! Enter our Rain Barrel Raffle for a chance to win your very own barrel! Also, take home easy tips to make sure your home and yard are water wise!

Kentokyo Mini-Con, Joseph Beth
Bluegrass Otaku is home to Lexington’s anime, manga, and gaming community. The group holds monthly anime viewing and gaming events to bring together fans of this culture.
Kentokyo mini con is the perfect spot for first time con goers to get their feet wet in the anime community and con going atmosphere. Kentokyocon mini con is a small taste of what Bluegrass Otaku plans to bring to Lexington this September.

Presidents’ Day Celebration, Mary Todd Lincoln House
On Monday, February 18, 2013, the Mary Todd Lincoln House will celebrate Presidents’ Day with an event for children and their families from 11 a.m. to 2p.m. This year’s activities will focus on the Civil War, with games, hands-on activities, and a chance to meet “Mrs. Lincoln.”
Children under 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
