Gigs: Mantra CD Release, Cosmic Charlie’s
‘Kinetic Bump’ is the first single from progressive rock upstarts The Mantras’ upcoming album ‘Jam Bands Ruined My Life!’
‘Jam Bands Ruined My Life’ was recorded and produced at Jake Cinninger’s (Umphrey’s McGee) Boondock Studios, with help from Jake as a guest producer and engineer. Jake is also a featured guitarist on this single, ‘Kinetic Bump’, as well as other tracks on the full release.

Psychedelic funk pioneer and original Parliament/Funkadelic keyboardist, co-songwriter and co-producer Bernie Worrell has launched a new mothership: The Bernie Worrell Orchestra, the nine-piece ensemble he co-founded with drummer/bandleader Evan Taylor in 2011.

Gigs: The Effin Wilders, Bright Black, Cosmic Charlie’s
Wednesday, December 26th, 2012 The Effin Wilders, Bright Black will be playing Lexington, Kentucky’s Cosmic Charlie’s at 9.30 pm.
The Effin Wilders began in a Berea basement, the brainchild of two bored coffee jockeys. The band was intended to be a kind of alt country surf hybrid, but has taken its current form from a puree of indie rock and classic country.
