Thai Orchid Cafe is hosting a six-course dinner specially created by a handful of talented women chefs that have made their name in Lexington and surrounding areas.

This event, emceed by Shannon Collins, the day chef at AZUR, is a chance for women chefs from various restaurants to collaborate on one delicious meal, as well as a chance for the community to gather around good food and conversation.

The Women Chefs Dinner Series doesn’t only celebrate these women’s ability to cook, but also their successes as entrepreneurs. In response to a Time Magazine article titled “Gods Of Food,” in which the Dinner Series creator Shannon Collins felt women were underrepresented, the series first showcased local female chefs at AZUR in March with a menu focusing on the power of superfoods.
