Randal Avers performs at the UK Singletary Center for the Arts on March 12.

“As an active performer and instructor, Randal Avers has appeared in music festivals and concert series throughout North America and Europe. He has been invited by the United States Information Service to lecture and perform in North Africa and Egypt as an Artistic Ambassador.

Avers is a graduate from the Oberlin Conservatory (BM) and the University of Arizona (MM). As a post-graduate, he attended the Conservatoire Nationale Superiere de Musique et de Danse in Paris (CNSMDP) becoming the first American guitarist to receive a premiere prix in both solo and chamber music. He received additional education at the North Carolina School for the Arts, the University of Akron and the Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Currently, Avers resides in Oslo, Norway. “
