Grammy Award winner and MacArthur Fellow Chris Thile will perform on Tuesday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Asbury University's Hughes Auditorium.
"A mandolinist, composer and vocalist, Chris Thile is a member of Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek. He has won Grammy Awards for his work on 'The Goat Rodeo Sessions,' collaborating with Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan, and for his collaborative album with Edgar Meyer, 'Bass + Mandolin,' which won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album in 2015.
"In 2012, Thile was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship for his innovative musicianship. The MacArthur Fellows Program 'awards unrestricted $625,000 fellowships to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction.'"
