Lexington premiere screening of the new film “Pleased to Meet Me,” shot in Louisville. This is the third feature film written and directed by Lexington native (and Henry Clay grad) filmmaker Archie Borders, with co-producer Michael Fitzer.
The movie stars John Doe, front man for the legendary punk group “X”and features singer-songwriter Karen Bergquist from the group Over the Rhine, actor and Grammy-winning musician Loudon Wainwright III, singer-songwriter and actress Aimee Mann, and Grammy award-winning musician, producer, and music supervisor Joe Henry.
Pre show VIP reception from 5:30 pm – 7 p.m. at Natasha’s Bistro and Bar. Tickets are $40 per person.
Screening at 7 pm at the Kentucky Theatre.
Screening supports the Friends of the Kentucky Theatre campaign.
After the film, there will be a 30-minute Q & A session with film director Borders, producer Fitzer and stars John Doe and Karen Bergquist participating.
