A Grand Opening Celebration: the 26th Annual H'Artful of Fun is on Saturday, April 24 from 7 - 11 pm at the Living Arts & Science Center.
"For more than four years, the Living Arts & Science Center has been working on a $5.5 million expansion and renovation project in downtown Lexington. On April 23, 2016, the LASC will open the doors of its new facility and invite guests to an exciting Grand Opening Celebration – H’Artful of Fun 2016!
This year’s H’Artful of Fun event will celebrate a milestone in the organization’s history, as they open the new facility and renovated home at the corner of 4th Street and Martin Luther King in downtown Lexington. On Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 7 p.m., join the LASC as theyhonor the hundreds of donors who helped create the new space, feature a fun-filled evening of starry shows in Lexington’s only planetarium, and showcase life-size projections on our two-story Glo Gallery glass wall. Combines new elements -valet service, a catered event, and an open bar for our guests – with the traditional H’Artful favorites – live music, entertainment, an artful silent and live auction, Golden Ticket raffle, and scholarship auction.
An annual fundraiser in its 26th year, H’Artful of Fun supports the creative and educational arts and science programs provided by the Living Arts & Science Center. Founded in 1968, the LASC now serves more than 40,000 individuals annually through art and science exhibits, classes, workshops, and community programs. The LASC provides programs and services in their own facility, as well as in schools, social service agencies, community centers, libraries, and at community events."
