The Ball Homes Night of Hope takes place at the Lexington Opera House on Thursday, October 27, 2016 starting at 7 p.m. with featured guest speaker Meredith Baxter.
"This year's event will include music from the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre, powerful client stories, and our featured speaker, iconic television star Meredith Baxter, of "Family Ties". All proceeds from the evening go to the Hope Center, battling homelessness by treating its causes; addiction and mental illness.
Meredith Baxter is very passionate about the topic of recovery – she’s been in recovery for over 20 years (and mentors others). Meredith is remembered and appreciated for her perceptive portrayals of intelligent and independent women. In her lighthearted and moving presentation, she recounts her colorful life as an actress as well as her troubled family life and shares how she overcame many obstacles to achieve health, happiness, strength and acceptance. Aptly, this year’s event theme is about family and about how addiction and homelessness does not just affect one person, it touches everyone around them."
