Filmslang: They Look Like People, Farish Theater

They Look Like People (2015) will regionally premiere at Filmslang Film Festival on Friday, October 9 at 8 p.m. in Farish Theater.

“Suspecting that people are transforming into malevolent shape-shifters, Wyatt flees to New York City to seek out his estranged childhood friend Christian. As the mysterious horrors close in on Wyatt, he questions whether to protect his only friend from an impending war, or from himself.  A genre-bending story about love, loyalty and living nightmares. Written and Directed by Perry Blackshear. World Premiere and Award Winner at Slamdance Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival (Grand Jury and Audience Award for Best Feature), RiverRun International Film Festival, IFF Boston, SF IndieFest.”

Filmslang is sponsored by the Lexington Public Library and Lexington Film League. All films will be shown in the Farish Theater of the Central Library at 140 E. Main Street. Filmslang will feature four regional premieres, a 20th anniversary screening of a local film followed by a Q&A with director Robby Henson, and a slate of local short films.
