Congressional Candidate Forum, Lexington Library

Candidates for four seats for the Kentucky House of Representatives have been invited to participate in candidate forums on Saturday, October 6 and October 13. These candidates will face one another in the November 6 General Election.

The forum, co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Lexington and the Lexington Public Library, will be held at the Downtown Public Library Auditorium, 140 East Main Street. The schedule and candidates are listed below. Candidates will have time for opening and closing remarks and will respond to questions submitted in writing by audience members.

1:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m.

Candidates for House of Representatives:

1:15 p.m. District 88: Reginald Thomas (Dem), Robert J. Benvenuti III (Rep)

2:00 p.m. District 76: Ruth Ann Palumbo (Dem), Richard Marrs (Rep)

2:45 p.m. District 79: Susan Westrom (Dem), Chris Logan (Rep)

3:30 p.m.  District 45: Geoff Young (Green), Breck Wither (Ind), Stan Lee* (Rep)

All candidates were invited. The public is invited to attend to meet the candidates and submit questions in writing for the forum. These forums will be videotaped and aired on the Library’s Channel 20.

*As of October 2, Mr. Lee, Mr. Clifford and Mr. Ruschell had not responded to this invitation. Mr. Cox has another commitment and in not able to attend.
