"Fresh from the success of their 2012 collaboration Bach Sonatas, celebrated violinist Lara St. John and Marie-Pierre Langlamet, principal harpist of the Berlin Philharmonic, will form a duo once again for a recording and tour featuring the works of Bach and Franz Schubert. Canadian-born violinist Lara St. John has been described as “something of a phenomenon” by The Strad and a “high-powered soloist” by the New York Times. Lara created her own record label, Ancalagon, in 1999, and has recorded with the Royal Philharmonic, the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela, and The Knights, with which she won the Juno award in 2011 for her Mozart album. Born in Grenoble, France, Marie-Pierre Langlamet received her first harp instruction at age eight and has been winning international acclaim since she was 15. Among numerous other awards, she took first prize at New York’s Concert Artists Guild Competition and at the International Harp competition in Israel."
