All animals great and small, along with their humans, are invited to the Blessing of the Animals on the steps and grounds of the Lexington History Museum on Saturday, October 6, at 11:30am.

PetSmart will distribute free pet toys and treats, and several animal rescue groups will have adoptable animals on site.
Donations of cash and pet food for participating rescue organizations will be gratefully accepted.
Blessings will be given by Dean Carol Wade and Cathedral clergy. The Boys and Girls Choir will sing. The tradition of Blessing the Animals honors Francis of Assisi, the beloved 12th century Italian saint who was best known and remembered for his love for animals and the environment.
