The 35th Annual Festival of the Horse is October 1-4 on the streets of downtown Georgetown.

“The Festival of the Horse has promoted Scott County’s Horse Heritage, the downtown community and the interaction between the two for the past 35 years. Family oriented activities and entertainment are featured.”

Fireman’s Chili Cook-off

“A great family night out for four under $20! ($4 a cup) Proceeds go to Toys for Tots for Georgetown/Scott County.”

Friday, 12 – 9 pm

“Friday highlights include the Republic Bank Colt and Filly Review Parade, the Fun-time Carnival, Live Entertainment, Displays, Arts & Crafts, and of course, those wonderful Food Vendors!”

Saturday, 10 am – 9 pm

“Saturday in Downtown Georgetown features the Toyota Grand Parade of Horses, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and Kid Zone, with more great food and Live Entertainment.”

Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm

“Sunday winds down the weekend with a Pet Parade, Blessing Of The Animals, Horse Show, Musical Shows on the Main Stage, and additional activities and entertainment.”
