This image was part of a 1981 show called "I Shall Save One Land Unvisited: Eleven Southern Photographers," which was hung at the ICP in New York and the Corcoran Gallery in Washington. The show featured Guy Mendes' work, along with the work of his mentor Ralph Eugene Meatyard, a Lexington photographer of international acclaim.
