Music lovers can attend Kentucky on Stage 2013 at the Farish Theater today, for a long lineup of artists.

Want to enjoy and support local theatre?  See The Actors Guild of Lexington’s final show of the season, Gone Astray, today.

For a few laughs over the weekend, stop by Comedy Off Broadway to see D.L. Hughley, running today and tomorrow.

Opera connoisseurs can see the world premiere of the musical, “Lady Windermere’s Fan”, put on by The Bluegrass Opera.

The Chamber Music Festival is featuring special performances all weekend, with Beethoven and Vaughn-Williams tonight at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion (7:30 pm).

Free Friday flicks is showing Young Frankenstein tonight, at Triangle Park.

SATURDAY Aug 24, 2013

Make your way to Chevy Chase this Saturday for the street fair, running 4 pm to 10 pm.  Celebrate local business with Rincon, Athenian Grill, Graeter’s Ice Cream, live music, and many more.

Have a good time and fund raise with Taste of Grace today at the Ballroom House Dance Studio on Brannon Rd, 7 pm – 10 pm.  There will be an open bar, food, a silent auction, music, and a “wall of wine”.  Proceeds go to Moveable Feast.

The Chamber Music Festival has two Frank Schubert pieces and one Maurice Ravel string quartet lined up for tonight’s performance.

Tonight is the last showing of “Lady Windermere’s Fan”.

SUNDAY Aug 25, 2013

Jeff Dunham is performing an act from his “Disorderly Conduct Tour” in the Kentucky Fair today, in Freedom Hall at 7:30 pm.

If you haven’t already caught Actors Guild’s Gone Astray, today is your last day.

The Chamber Music Festival wraps up today with pieces from Schubert, Shostakovich, and Brahms at 2 pm.

Slow Sunday?  Pop by the Lyric Theatre to watch Lackawanna Blues at 3 pm.

If movies are more your thing, the Kentucky has you covered with Some Like it Hot, a summer movie classic.

Enjoy a “Dinner and Drama” at Malone’s Banquets tonight.  “Mary Todd Lincoln: A House Divided” will be performed at 7:15 pm, after dinner which begins at 6 pm.
