Ash Wednesday

If you or your friends are not able to get to a traditional Ash Wednesday service, Ashes to Go provides an alternative. This service is part of a nationwide movement that has clergy and lay people visiting transit stops, street corners, coffee shops, and college campuses to mark the foreheads of interested passers-by with ashes and invite them to repent of past wrongdoing and seek forgiveness and renewal. People of all faiths are welcome. In the Diocese of Lexington, Ashes to Go will be available in two places:

When: February 13, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Where: Fifth/Third Pavilion, Cheapside Park, Lexington
Hosted by Christ Church Cathedral

When: February 13, throughout the day
Where: Various locations in Covington, including the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky Terminal on Fourth and Main St., near the Embassy Suites Hotel on Rivercenter Blvs., and at the corner of Fourth Street and Madison Avenue
Hosted by Trinity, Covington
