Lexington artist John Lackey, twice voted Best Artist by Ace readers, has put together a stop-motion movie, Gamut, that chronicles the renovations across the street from his Homegrown Press Gallery at the increasingly busy corner of N. Limestone and 6th Street.
Known for his Wilco posters, his prolific art, new block prints, and Holler Poets
series, Lackey relocated his gallery to the former Spalding’s Donut building at 574 N. Limestone in 2010.
His current exhibit of the same name will be on display through March (2012). Music for the video is by The Swells.
