Lexington’s Iroquois Hunt Club in Garden and Gun Magazine

Blessing of the Hounds, Ace coverstory, 2001

Oscar Wilde once called foxhunting “the indescribable in pursuit of the inedible,” but the Iroquois Hunt Club (built in 1807)  just outside Lexington has long been one of the most beautiful views in the bluegrass.

Today Garden and Gun Magazine posted a behind-the-scenes gallery at the Hunt Club, Chasing Tradition, with extraordinary images from Lexington’s own Guy Mendes.
