Under a beautiful blue Kentucky sky on the rolling grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park, last minute cooking and preparations were under way to transform the The Farmhouse restaurant into a satellite James Beard House for last night’s sold-out kickoff to the World Equestrian Games’ James Beard Celebrity Chef Series.
(Tickets are available for many of the remaining dinners.)
First up was Jonathan Lundy.
The front lawn and garden had tall cocktail tables scattered about for the guests who enjoyed pre-dinner Maker’s Mark cocktails and appetizers.
The glassed-in dining room, in the rear of the restaurant and adjacent to the Governor’s Garden, offered sweeping views of the surrounding Kentucky Horse Park.![]() |
