The Wall Street Journal just reviewed a recent investment report that placed Lexington, Kentucky in the top ten markets for real estate investments.

The article on the best and worst markets for real estate investing cites the first Investor Sustainability Report from Cary, NC firm Local Market Monitor.

The report lists the ten best as:
1.  Durham, NC
2.  Huntsville, AL
3.  Indianapolis, IN
4.  Knoxville, TN
5.  Lexington, KY
6.  Little Rock, AR
7. Winston-Salem, NC
8.  Oklahoma City, OK
9.  Greenville, NC
10.  Jackson, MS

Lexington (along with  Knoxville and Indianapolis) are mentioned as “metro areas with large percentages of relatively stable jobs and moderate growth.”
