Lexington Public Library Board Invites Community Input

The Lexington Public Library Board of Trustees and Advisory Board invite you to participate in the process of selecting a new Executive Director. The board is looking for two library customers (you must have an active library card from the Lexington Public Library) to apply to be part of the search team. Two community members will be selected to join the search team, which also will include representatives of the two boards, the library staff, and the Friends of the Library.

If interested, please send a letter (500-word maximum) detailing why you think you would be an asset to the search team, what the Lexington Public Library means to you, and what you are looking for in a library director. E-mail the letter by Friday, August 14, to Board Chairman Larry Smith care of AnnaMarie Cornett at acornett@lexpublib.org. The Library Board will review all letters and announce the final selection on the Library’s website by the end of August.
