Bonnie “Prince” Billy, at Red Mile Round Barn Saturday night, brought Louisville-based violinist/singer Cheyenne Mize and a strong band to the Bluegrass Trust structure.  Hundreds of people were treated to an hours-long concert.  The show was presented by Bullhorn and thelexingtonproject.org.  The Bachelorette, from New Zealand, opened the show. The BPB show makes four outstanding shows at the Round Barn since October.

In the fall, the performance by the Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise Tour—including Nana Grizol, playing tonight at Gumbo Ya-Ya with Asstricks* and Little Noodles—featured the reappearance of Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum.

An Outside The Spotlight jazz series performance by the Peter Brotzmann Trio featuring Nasheet Waits and Eric Revis came next.

Black Moth Super Rainbow with Tiny Fights and Bedtime, a show sponsored by WRFL-FM was an early summer highlight.
